A WebComic set in Mystara

Weird red metals, dominions, immortals, hollow planets, invisible moons, and a lot of glorified magic zeppelins. It's all here.

While I liked the majority of the comic...the "sex" scene just came across a juvenile and unnecessary. Like the "Littlefinger watches two girls screw scene in GOT".

I think "love" or sex scenes can be presented tastefully, but neither of these scenes did it. I think it works better in the medium of a book or movie...when the acting is done well, or the events can be drawn in the mind. In a comic, it just seems gratuitous, silly...or in this case, both.

The frames could have even been funny. Showing a little less...and replacing the Pegasus with a Unicorn...and then having a (uni)corny...sorry  statement from the male elf upon notice they are being watched, "And I thought I was the only one who was horny!"

Sorry if that seems harsh, but that is my honest opinion.

Though I do like my campaigns to be true to life, and don't like B-movie campaigns; detailed sex scenes to make it seem more "gritty" just isn't my style. I also think that it is very hard do this successfully in a fantasy setting; and in fact despite the GOT slam, think it is the only series or movie that does this.

Can you imagine a risque sex scene between Aragorn and Arwen in Lord of the Rings? Though; Viggo Mortenson & Liv Tyler could...a...pull this off in another film, because I think they are good actors.

Name of the Rose isn't really a fantasy, but the sex scene in the movie was done tastefully I thought, and added a necessary depth to the plot.
It's about as gothic as you can get with anthropomorphic beavers.

The good thing in your art is increasing the emotional facial states, better than before.
I also like you keep shapes (and breasts, privates) decently shaped instead more USA porn like...
Especially drawing this from your imagination . Great.

My own pen art...(and when I feel emotionally better and less depressed, I will continue doing that) is ...lets say somewhat more voluptuous, but I base these on real persons (altering them to fantasy creatures/individuals). A comic is way too much for me...doing the same figures, from all angles, states, effects, conditions, etc.
So I have only great respect for you.
One remark though...to protect some of the younger people visting..an age block (on the site or individual art) might be advisable, otherwise some people might get nasty.(I had some bad experiences before I had my Deviantart page ;(, and my art contains only some nudity. not even all).

Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, and Name of the Rose are some pretty serious things to be compared to. Those are some QUALITY shows man. I drew the most recent sex scene because when I thought of it, it cracked me up. I was laughing when I drew it too. So if that bit fell flat for you, I can live with it. In my defense, I've drawn almost 180 pages now and the last two are about as graphic as I got, and is about as graphic as I'm going to get. The comic is not going to descend into soft-core or anything like that, even though I've always been pretty frank with the nudity, I'm not making it gritty for being gritty's sake. If the fortunes of the characters makes an uptick, then the results will change. Being put in a human dungeon will be a better experience than chained to a wall by hobgoblins to be made into dinner, for example.

Please don't hesitate to ever give me any criticisms. I'm always happy to hear the opinions of folk who read the comic, especially ones where people have something to say. Thanks for reading. I hope it is less disappointing for you down the road. :)

I considered a splash page so when casually browsing you won't get tits and wang in your face. I should probably do that. Thanks.

An interesting lesson in Dwarf biology. Easy to understand why female dwarfs are "treasured".

I don't know if it vibes with the Gazetteers at all, but it's how I always answered the 'no-dwarf-females' thing. When I roll random NPCs, I choose the sex for a dwarf as 1 in 10 female. And when I made the Party-to-be-Sacrificed, Frya's sex was randomly determined, and I'm grateful because otherwise that scene never would have came to be.

Is it maybe a blunt idea to place this comic (a few pages at a time) in Threshold?
or make a new comic especially for the magazine, with a group of investigative enquirers delving within the topic of the magazine that month, or an article?
I think the Threshold crew and especially the readers would like that.
But what's your thought about this?

I wouldn't mind drawing something for Threshold. But I don't know what would work for about 3 pages at the rate Threshold is published. Something like the old SnarfQuest maybe.

It was just a rumble of thoughts in my chaotic brain, but If I were you, I would ask Sturm directly...as he works for the Threshold magazine.
Personally, a 3 page miniature comic relating one or more issues of that magazine would work fine.
Imagine a group of travellers (various background or even race) magically send by an inquisite mage, desering to know more on the world of Mystara. ...something like that.
Put in some of your typical humor and background and Threshold wouldhave its own crew like Nodwick

Sure, if you would like to publish a comic in Threshold magazine, the editorial team would be very happy to have it.
Even just one page per issue would be fine, if you can work with such a limited space, or more if you prefer.
If you have a proposal, just send it to the mail address which is on the last page in every issue!

I've been thinking about ideas, and I don't have any good ones yet. 1 page would be a perfect amount to draw, but really limited on what sort of content I could put in there.

I understand, as said we would be happy to host on Threshold anything you may wish to publish but obviously you have to choose what you want to draw first :)
