Re: Mystara Back in Print!
Has anyone some experience with shipping costs on the PoD titles to Europe (Germany)? I wanted to contact WotC about getting GAZ 1 as PoD, but then, I have no idea if it was feasible for me. If the titles ship from the US, the shipping costs are probably too high to make that interesting.
If so, I´d try and find a printer over here. (Yes, that is legal. I asked about that matter: "Is it legal to have a pdf I bought here printed professionally by a third party for personal use?" The reply was: "Most products are able to be printed, but some publishers will chose to lock theirs to prevent printing. If a product is not able to be printed, it will state "print/copy disabled" on the product description page in the right hand column. If it is not designated as "print/copy disabled" then you are welcome to print your product for your personal use.")

Re: Mystara Back in Print!
WotC does not directly sell PoD. They do it via DriveThru. Europe is a bit more costly than US, but not by much:

Re: Mystara Back in Print!
Thanks for the link. That was what I was looking for. I see that my post was not precisely worded - I wanted to contact WotC about giving DriveThru the data/permission for a PoD GAZ 1. As far as I understood DriveThru/DMsGuild, the data and permission is provided by the company (here, WotC) to publish these as PoD also. DT "only" provide the sales platform and the technical frame in which this happens.
So, taking GAZ 7 as an example, the PoD would cost 13 $ and ~ 8 $ shipping - 21$ is a fair price, I´d say. I doubt I would get that much cheaper here.
(And I´ll have to get that map printed in full size somehow

Re: Mystara Back in Print!
Indeed, it is very good. A really nice read. I have never run a full Shadow elf campaign, but I have had Shadow Elf PCs in my games as well as plenty of NPCs making use of the gaz. I also love the connections to the settings history, Alfheim, Glantri, The Brokenlands and Blackmoor. Fascinating stuff!

Re: Mystara Back in Print!
OH! I didn't recall that. I'll have to do a quick read over this weekend. Might be something I can use for my 5e Blackmoor campaign.Havard wrote: ↑Thu Sep 13, 2018 12:25 pmIndeed, it is very good. Re: Mystara Back in Print!
I wish they'd reprint more of the rulebooks and not just the Cyclopedia. My Mentzer books are in various states of repair from battered to mostly intact. I'd also like to get a copy of the Moldvay/Cook Expert book, but I expect that is a low priority item for them.
(And a hard copy of B12: Queen's Harvest would be great, too!)

I second the Moldvay/Cook books, mine are well worn.Cthulhudrew wrote: ↑Wed Sep 19, 2018 11:52 pmI wish they'd reprint more of the rulebooks and not just the Cyclopedia. Re: Mystara Back in Print!
Generally speaking, the POD relies on a clean scan, and they come out as those become available

Re: Mystara Back in Print!
Gotcha. I hadn't thought of that. I just found it odd the most popular one hadn't been done.
