Bosero's Tower
I was studying Blackmoor's map from the D20 book for some nefarius end (?), and I found this place.
Is there anything in canon about this tower? Is this Bosero the brother of the Flying Monk?
Thanks in advance

Bosero (Sometimes Bozero, or The Drunkard) was the character played by John Snider (designer of strategy games like Star Probe and Star Empires for TSR in the 1970s) in Dave Arneson's campaign. This character is detailed in DA1. In DA1 he is described as a Wizard who enjoys hard drinking and sometimes dons heavy armor because he would like to be a warrior. John Snider gives more details on his character in Different Worlds #5 (an old RPG magazine). You can find some of this summarized here (Comeback Inn registry required). John Snider is the real life brother of Richard Snider and I believe DA1 also portrays their characters as brothers. In the FFC they are sometimes simply referred to as "The Sniders". The FFC says "the Sniders" died while exploring the City of the Gods, but DA1 somewhat retcons this. Bosero is also featured in DA3 City of the Gods where he takes an active part. Bosero's tower contains an extensive Wizards laboratory that once caused his entire domain to be covered in strange yellow mists...
Hope this helps?

Re: Bosero's Tower
Is there any sort of description on what Bosero's Tower might look like and how isolated it is?
I've not seen that map. Can we infer any details from the location?

Re: Bosero's Tower
I will have to do some research for that. However, the New Lands region was the region where many of the core Blackmoor Players first got their own holdings. I think it is reasonable to assume that the tower is not just a Wizard's tower, but also a military stronghold with fortifications and a surrounding village & farmlands.
Bosero's tendency to put on armor and pretend that he was a fighter probably also suggests military barracks and the like.
Of course, if the "Yellow Mists" scenario (See the FFC) has been played out then the entire hex should be covered in Yellow Mists and who knows what fate has befallen the people living on the land.

Re: Bosero's Tower
Looking at the map https://blackmoor.mystara.net/img/BlackmoorSmall.jpg it can be argued that it is a fairly isolated place (across the river from the Badlands and along a path leading nowhere...), however, in that part of Blackmoor there are not that many rivers (like in "core" Blackmoor), so you have to consider that many animals (and their hearders) will go and drink at the junction of the Wurm River and River Running.

Re: Bosero's Tower
I just noticed that, on DA1 and DA4 maps, the position of Bosero's Tower is officially indicated!
